TOP was engaged to assist an independent energy and carbon management company with consultative valuation services related to its acquisition of an oil and gas exploration and production company with an estimated enterprise value in excess of $2.0 billion. As part of the engagement, TOP assisted management in preparing documentation and support in connection with certain market-based valuation inputs and fair value estimates, including:
- Proforma estimates, including certain benchmarking analyses.
- 26 discounted cash-flow fair value analyses related to proved oil and gas reserve fields.
- Inflation rates and a credit adjusted risk-free rate (CARFR) related to certain asset retirement obligations (ARO).
- Incremental borrowing rates (IBR) related to certain leased assets.
