Consultative Valuation Services for Integrated Refiner

TOP was engaged to assist an integrated oil and gas refining and marketing company with an estimated enterprise value of approximately $10.0 billion with certain consultative valuation advisory workstreams. The workstreams TOP assisted with as part of the engagement included:
- Consultative valuation observations and recommendations provided to company management and external legal counsel in relation to multiple fiscal years' assessed values for a company refinery located in the northwest United States.
- Project management assistance and review of certain valuation estimates performed by a Big 4 firm in connection with the company's acquisition of remaining (not previously held by the company) issued and outstanding equity interests in a related entity operating within the midstream segment of the oil and gas industry.
- Project management assistance and review of an ASC 350 goodwill impairment analysis performed by a Big 4 firm. The reporting units included in the analysis and scope of our assignment included separate marketing and renewables businesses, three refineries, three lubricants and specialty products businesses, and five midstream reporting units.
