TOP prepared a valuation analysis to estimate the fair value of trade names owned by a work apparel company. The project scope included seven trade names, for which fair value estimates were prepared for asset impairment testing purposes in accordance with the provisions of ASC 350. The analysis was performed using the relief-from-royalty method under the income approach.
